My philosophy is that all horses should be proper ranch horses. Whether you are a cutting horse fanatic or just want your horse to take to the trails properly and quietly, we do it right. Setting in a solid foundation of confidence in your horse, and in you as a rider. After we start your horse we work diligently to make sure it's safe, quiet, and sound minded all while performing for you.
We offer quiet rides, soft starts and solid finishes. Our technique is a "natural ranch process" in which we do the job on the horses back. I don't want you to pay us to "play" with your horse. I want to teach it while we are riding it, helping it understand what it's job is and how we do the job quietly.

One a day rides, bi-weekly lessons, and your horse will be finished to do the event that you'd like to compete in or to take to the trails. This is a full package, roping, reining, cow work, and trails. Great all around experience for you and your horse.

Services Include Starting your Colt, and doing it quietly. Breaking your colt after setting it up properly. Problem Solving. Wanting a better performance horse? I can help! Want to be a better rider? I can teach you. Want to teach your horse to rope, or work cattle properly? I have the cattle available to me. Also offer exercise programs for your horse, Ranch skills. Need to teach your horse to load or to lead? Basically, I'm open to helping you in any way I can, from high intensity fast result programs, to helping you overcome basic issues.

Summer Special Learn to start your horse from the very beginning, work with a trainer every day for one hour, learn all of the basics of the start, with our proven no buck system. We will teach you the proper way of starting your colt or filly to lunge, to accept the saddle, to introduce weight to them, to yield from pressure. You'll also learn the riding of experience from the trainer. We will do all of the steps with you, teaching you to become your horses trainer. Allowing you to take part in all aspects of the horses training. Learn how to teach your horse to collect on the bit, to sidepass, to spin, to have an excellent whoa. Proven techniques to help you get the success you want out of your horse. This is great for all, you develop a personal relationship with your horse and have the safety of having a trainer with you to help you and to guide you through the process. Not to mention, we take all the "risks" out of the equation. We will show you how to do it, and then you when you are comfortable you can do it. No forcing yourself to do things you aren't comfortable with, or am uncertain on how to do it properly. Level 1 Beginners Only Team Penning/Sorting Clinics
The Beginners clinic is a 3-day introductory clinic for those learning to ride and pen/sort for the first time. You can bring your own horse or lease one of ours. You do not need a finished penning/sorting horse for this clinic. Our goal is for you to understand the many different elements that go into team penning/sorting, including a finished penning/sorting horse, equipment, terminology and cattle. This clinic is designed to make your first team penning/sorting experience safe and positive. We will answer all of your questions and then some. You will learn the fundamentals of penning/sorting from the ground and from horseback. You will spend 80% of the time on horseback, learning to track cattle and work the horse. You will put your horse on a steer and track him. Any age, any gender, we can teach you how to pen/sort.

Level 2 The Next Step Team Penning/Sorting Clinics
This clinic is the natural progression from Level 1, although you don't need to attend Level 1 to attend the Level 2 Clinic. In this clinic our goal is for the "beginner" to become more comfortable with the basics of team penning/sorting and work on putting the entire run together while working more with cattle. If you are attending the Level 2 Clinics, you should have some experience working and tracking a sled or steers. If you're not comfortable with these, we recommend the Level 1 Clinics or Private Lessons to get you up to speed. The clinic is a full three days with 80% spent on horseback and a large amount of time on horsemanship. A good, quiet finished cow horse is highly recommended for this clinic.

"Cutter" and "Herd Holder" Only Clinics
At the Cornerstone "Cutter" and Cornerstone "Herd Holder" Clinics, 100% of the time is focused on what you do best. Unlike other Team Penning/Sorting Clinics, you don't have to stress about pleasing the other end. One of our trained professionals will be your partner, so you can focus on your run. The "Cutters" Only Clinic focuses on the run and turning the cattle. A Cornerstone staff member will be there to hold the herd without tracking them around the arena.
At the "Herd Holder" Only Clinics, Cornerstone staff along with some of the locals, will cut and turn the cattle for you to guarantee a perfect pen or sort. If by chance we miss, we'll do it again!
Because we truly believe that be a great horseman/woman is an essential part of being a great penner or sorter, these clinics will be as much "Horsemanship for Penners/Sorters" as is is a penning/sorting clinic.
At the end of the clinic, we will see who handles the pressure by having a "just for fun" jackpot.
Any level of "Cutter" or "Herd Holder" is welcome; even the best penner/sorter can learn a lot here.

Teams Only Penning/Sorting Clinics
You must enter this clinic as a team, or we can attempt to match you with a partner if needed. It is great for junior partners, couples or parent/child combos to attend the 3-day clinic together. This clinic focuses on skills that you and your partner need to compete at the next level. This clinic teaches what each partner can do to set the other partner up for success. Like all other Cornerstone clinics, horsemanship is a major focus. The majority of the time is spent on horseback tracking and turning steers and trading off holding them. The clinic will end with a "just for fun and bragging rights" jackpot. The clinic is open to all levels.
